I just launched a new platform for selling websites, i have developers in place and will throw a call center campaign at generating leads once the kinks are worked out.

I have a pretty solid script which was found here, on WF. Im manually crawling the yellowpages for contacts and just calling like crazy. However, it's been a total of like 6 hours and I haven't landed anyone yet.

Im wondering if anyone here has any advice on which industries work well, any sales tips, or just general advice on navigating the world of selling redesigns/ from scratch builds.

Also, im new here. Not sure if i was supposed to intro myself first, but hello!

Make sure you are selling the features and even more the benefits

If I'm following you correctly, you are selling a service that designs/redesigns websites? If that's the case, I have no experience with that respect. However, I do get quite a few emails from services that say "we see you're on BigCommerce, you should leave them and come to our service because BigCommerce stinks."

Here's part 2.. (I HATE this new WF system). It's great telling me why BigCommerce stinks, which I actually agree that they are overpriced and don't offer a whole lot, especially as far as customization. You don't have to sell me on the fact that BigCommerce stinks, you have to sell me on the fact that you're a better alternative. I'd take that same approach with offering a redesign service. Point out why their site is lacking (granted, this could be hard to do without sales figures), and how you can improve it. As Donald said, focus on the customers benefits. And focus on quality over quantity. Find the sites that you can really benefit from a redesign. I would personally look for businesses like doctors, dentists that aren't in Google's local search and sell those people on getting listed and a getting their site redesigned - the benefit being more customers and income. Should be a fairly easy sell if done correctly.

you will have a very hard time if you sell website to anybody, you need a niche and you need an interesting one for that..

So how are you different from the other website designer ?
Do you know how marketing and sales work, can you create anticipation and use storytelling ?
Do you have a reliable system in place to make sure you do up to 7 contact point with your prospect ?
Are you using Game Marketing ?

I sell website as much as i want but i have 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, i know exactly how to push the pain points of my clients and how to give them a solution while making them hope i will accept them as new clients..

Let me know if you have more questions, that`s a huge topic

My niche is pretty much trade businesses. Welders, electricians, construction people, and eventually ill move into dental and doctors.

My stuff is different because it's less expensive (we're an outsourcing company).

I'll be honest, im not the greatest salesman in the world, storytelling techniques and anticipation building isnt something im familiar with on how to do during a cold call. Tips would be appreciated.

I guess my main question would start with a statement. Ive been cold calling for a few days now and still haven't landed anyone, but i know its possible. Common objections being things like "Oh, we're just in the middle of getting one designed" or "I dont need a website".

What can i do to increase my chances on breaking through these barriers? I just want to sell a few to get started so i can see that its possible.

This is quite interesting, we are in the Web design business too. One thing I have noted as Startup founder you have to be everything and do everything. The one thing you need to be good at is 'Sales'.

This takes time and patience on your side, maybe you should try utilizing a CRM software to keep track of your calls because you might need followup on your calls.

Maybe you should try on Freelancer. It is tough in the beginning and it takes time till you push your profile and your work. You should also try with your local firms, the firm that I work in cooperates with other local firms and they provide us jobs. Maybe firms in your town are interested in that.
