Best Marketing Practice for My Website?

Hello,

I have just launched my website (trainingboard.net) and find myself at a roadblock in regards to marketing and getting users on board. The website functions as an ad platform and forums for industry specific training. My current strategy is to get training companies and instructors on board and then (if not simultaneously) market to the audience seeking training. Any feedback is appreciated.

My roadblocks include:

Email: I have sought out the websites of several training organizations and emailed them individually (one email at a time). I think my emails are going directly to spam or are being totally ignored as I have had only a few replies.

Generating Signups: I have reached a few good organizations but very few people have joined the website since it was launched (Sep 23). Of those who have joined, nobody has made a single post.

I am not positive that this website will catch on but I feel that I have incentivized people to try it out with free advertising at no commitment. It is a work in progress but I feel that I may be missing something.

Thanks,

Jake

First of all email marketing is a numbers game. You need to reach 50 people a day. Personalize your email. Look for something you can chat with them about such an award on their site or something so that you can get them liking you. Talk about them not your site. Then bring up your site as part of the conversation.

If you are reaching out to offline businesses then you need to be in the offline section not here try posting this there you'll get much more response to it. Hope that helps you out.
