Blog news story to sms. What is the best way out?

Good day friends. I am running a news website where readers can subscribe by sending a text: follow website to 40404, a twitter shortcode. Once that is done, users automatically get subscribed to our twitter handle where they get all our news headlines as text messages as soon as they are posted, together with the links to the full stories online.
For two weeks now, twitter strips off the links part. Our subscribers can no longer click links to the website for the full story. I've tried reaching out to twitter but to no avail.
My question now is:
1. How do I get around this?
2. What alternative blog to SMS options do we have? Thank you.
