I am considering changing my theme. I am having a problem with my current them. However I have not found a theme that I like so far. I was considering having a custom wordpress theme built. So does anyone have any recommendations for me. This is the problem I am having.

I am not really sure of what is going on there but stripes are bad for conversions. Other then that I would just stick with my current theme. I think it has something to do with the css not really sure.So any thoughts on this one thanks in advance.

  • Is that a registration page on your blog? That looks like some kind of a background from your theme..

Anyways, I wouldn't really recommend developing one right away. You can try one of the many good themes that are available. Thrive themes is a amazing option and I always recommend them because of the many features, customization options, excellent support etc.

You can go for Genesis or, even Thesis if you prefer. I guess that you solve your problem of a new theme. But if you really want a theme developed, you can use the folks at Genesis. They build custom skins but can be a little costly..

    • Yes it is a registration page. I decided to build a membership area to my blog. My current theme is enfold. I have tried it on thrive focusblog and it works just fine. I am considering paying for mods. I want the same look and feel of my blog. On a side note I now have accesses to a few new plugins from thrive.

  • Hi, you dont say which theme you are trying or your niche. So its hard to know if this s a CSS or other issue. I personally dont think you need a custom theme unless you have a very niche or unusual requirement. I use a number of Free and Premium themes and hav selected them because they are typically highly customisable from the getgo. If that is a Login page then ditch the standard signup and go for a simple membership plugin that takes all that hassle away. Its cleaner and you hav better control of signips anyway.
I think you need to be clear about your site needs and what you are presenting and take a couple of days trawling themes and ID those that are : Flexible, Customisable, Support Mobile (Responsive), support the major plugins and display your wares.
Custom design costs hudreds, thousands and a simple Freemium will cost about $50-80.
Start with a simple Flexible Free Theme - maybe use a Child Theme (to make customisations) and get it working and dont be afraid to change later just be aware of your URL settings.

  • There is a high change that this is a CSS error, were you using IE or Tablet or some other device , this is mostly a zoomed error, Enfold is a very powerful theme, my suggestion is to get these small issues fixed rather than getting a custom theme, a custom theme will cost you a good amount to build at least 10 times the cost you will pay for getting this theme fixed to your requirements.
  • If you do have Enfold, then I strongly recommend using Slate Pro from codecanyon, I am using both on some websites and works perfectly together, another $22 to spend but definitly worth it
