Feedback on Landing Page

I just created my second landing page and was hoping to get some feedback on it. Does it create a sense of urgency to sign up? Would you even sign up? Although you might not be my target audience, I'm looking for an overall consistent message, triggers for the visitor to sign up and a valid offer.

Thanks in advance.

Does it create a sense of urgency to sign up?
    Not even a little bit.

    Would you even sign up?
I'm unsure exactly what you are offering, so no.

When I first see the page, above the fold, it is very bland - just some white space and text. Nothing of interest. I would not see the graph or the bullet points until I scroll down, which I probably would not due. The free offer ebook should be pictured to show that I will get something if I opt-in. I would suggest reworking the design of the page.

    Hi Matt.
    My impression:
1.More color needed! especially when it comes to headlines. Red and orange are colors of urgency, not calming green and light blue:-). Also, more interesting design of the headline may help.
    2. the graphics and everything need to go up - so everyone can see it right away (maybe get smaller).
    3. Concentrate on what this product can do for the client (for ex - do you want to have a faster website? you are losing customers every day, and we can help you solve this, etc)
    Hope this helps!
    GOOD LUCK!

I agree. Also, the chat box when closed covers some text in the footer. I guess moving everything up (as mickyl suggested) would solve this issue.

      Good luck!

    Hi Matt,

It did draw my attention, but I have to agree on adding a little more color. Perhaps add a little more about what your product can do, but more importantly why it is the solution. I agree with mickyl, a question with an obvious answer and solution is a great idea.

This is what color alone can do - https://internetjobsonlineblogmoney....n-your-visitor

    Context is king.

Unless I can see what the method is of driving traffic to the page then I can't really comment with any real sense as the landing page is only one element of the funnel you are building and is therefore out of context.

However, that's never stopped me before so here are a couple of things I noticed right away:

    1. Heading is 'decent' as a benefit is identified - "Blazing Fast Hosting That Will Keep Your Visitors On Your Website Longer"... you could make it punchier (the shorter the better) "Blazing Fast Hosting That Will Keep Your Wordpress Visitors Longer" (I don't have time to evaluate further but is that the main benefit?)

    2. Graphic is too 'busy' and needs simplifying as you only have a couple seconds to grab them. Clarify and make it VERY obvious what is going on in it and why they should care.

    3. Get rid of the link at the bottom to you blog. A landing page should give them no other option but to sign up or get out.

I'm sure there is more, if I had the time to evaluate properly. There are also other points which some have already made in comments above eg the page is bland.

    Good luck with your ventures.

For a landing page the whole page should be visible once loaded. I should not have to scroll at all.

It looks more like a mini sales page. Your asking people to sign up to receive a sales pitch. If you want it to be a sales page then make it so.

The offer itself. and ebook "Why Speed Matters" will be basically useless for most as we all know the reason fast hosting is important. So the offer will not entice many people to opt in. As well the discount. 20% off hosting plans. If I get to the site and find that your prices start 30% more than the average then I might be turned off.

    Hey Matt

    So heres my feedback:

Your landing page needs alot of work, the whole idea of a landing page is to offer a solution to a problem your potential customer has, and in return to recieve their main email address.

    1. Headline: not bad but could do with some more work, needs to highlight a problem and benefit

    2. Subheadline: needs more work to it, highlight a solution.

    3. Bullet points: These need to be above the fold i.e. i should not be scrolling down to see the bullet points, this would also cover the benefits of what your offering.

    4. The count down timer you honestly dont need that on a landing page.

    5. Email Box: This should be above the fold as a customer i dont want to be scrolling down to find i have to enter my email address at the bottom of the screen.

    6. An image of the ebook that your giving away would be more enticing.

It;s not a bad attempt but needs alot more work. I am guessing your using thrive themes for the landing page?

Heres a link to a landing page i put together myself some time ago i dont use it as much but it was a test i played around with, and to create the landing page i used optimize press good product for landing pages and sales pages etc.

I would make the header smaller, add different colors instead of the orange. Grab something that's a little more easy on the eyes, then your opt in button will really pop out. Also I would add an exit pop to increase the conversions.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi mattsteinman,

    The page lacks clarity.

Landing pages that lack clarity do not convert well.

    Specifically:
    1. You have a headline that points to a problem, but does not provide a solution anywhere on the page to that same issue. It's all problem, no value. A value-centric headline usually works much better.
    2. There doesn't appear to be a clear value proposition anywhere on the page
    3. The headline doesn't seem to connect to the bullet points, nor to the CTA. The bullet points don't seem connected to the headline nor the CTA. It feels like each of those elements were taken from separate websites and copy and pasted to this page. It is not at all clear how the headline is relevant to the bullet points, or how the CTA is relevant to either the headline or the bullet points. It just seems vaguely related.

I feels like you are trying to be clever in your sales copy when you really just need to be clear. Clarity trumps persuasion.

You are asking users for their name and email address but there is no reason given for why they should do that. What are they getting in exchange? Is it worth giving up their privacy for whatever the mystery is behind the form? No way to tell by the vague information you placed on the page.

I predict that most users will land on this page, say WTF, and then click the back button straight away.

You need a clear value proposition that describes why your service, or product is uniquely valuable to your audience.

Is your speed test unique, or just like all the other free ones that don't ask for name and email to access?

Is there a reason you are asking for name and email? What value, if any, do your users get by giving up their privacy? Make that value clear and compelling and people will respond, leave it vague and they will abandon your lander as quickly as they arrived.

    HTH,

    Don Burk

    Hey Matt,

I would suggest you to work on your content since the headline is not getting connected to the bullet points mentioned. Breaking content indicates non-professionalism forcing user to doubt on your product. Also tell about the problem and its solution in precise so that the user do not have to guess.
    Content is the Boss.

Not really. You need more of a reason to sign up. There isn't enough information on why you should sign up

Does it create a sense of urgency to sign up?
    No
Why: Because you didn't use any urgency factor at all.

    Would you even sign up?
    No
Why: The color combination seems spam to me. I won't sign up for any spam website.

The colors are still pretty awful. Your headline is also too wordy and the sub header is barely visible. Also, the page actually loads kinda slow for me which is ironic considering what you're trying to sell here. There are so many free landing page builders that could do a better job out of the box. Maybe try those instead of trying to build it yourself.

Your copy isn't that bad though. I would drop "Choose a Wordpress host that understands!" Less is more!
