What kind of help do you want? You can't find any examples of websites? Then how do you know you want to start one? Do you mean you don't know how to build a website? What kind of website do you want to build?

Seriously, you need to have more ambition than ask an unclear question like this.

Tell us what you want to do, why, what you've done, what you know, etc.

Then, someone may be able to help you.

There are many CMS such as Wordpress, Joomla and so on. search, get a template and start customizing it. Or simply as a developer to help you sort these out.

As you get clearer on your vision I'd add: start a website by following your fun. Follow your passion. Build a site for the joy of it. This puts you in the proper energetic space to really succeed online because you will be energetically aligned to listen to and follow good advice.

  Your plan its very good and doing what you love you will get succed .Many succes sites starts from their passion .You just need to be sure that the niche you are it will have sellers and products .and if you write with passion and give people value and content they want they will buy from you

One simple way to begin is start things with wordpress.org start with free stuff in a month you will understand most of the things to begin your own website.

You DONT NEED to "start a website".

WHY?

the only thing you need is an OPT IN PAGE.

To start BUILDING A LIST.

Then you think of a website, a blog, a podcast, etc...

  I would agree with Connann. I started building my own websites so I could promote affiliate links. Wish that I had focused on building a list instead. You can create opt-in pages with software that walks you through it like David Cisneros offers. Makes it easy peasy.
  But if you feel like you need to learn how to build websites. I learned how to build on WordPress and it's an easy learning curve and finding videos on how to do it are all over YouTube.

get yourself a good host like siteground and they'll be happy to walk you through

i recommend you create a Wordpress site. its easy to do.

In order to start your own website you need 3 parts: domain + hosting + website source code. Buy domain at any domain registrars such as Godadyd, Namecheap, Name,...Buy hosting at many hosting providers such as Bluehost, Godaddy, Namecheap, GreenGeeks,...After having your own domain and hosting you need to build website, you can use any open source CMS such as Wordpress, Joomla to build.
After having all, you need upload your website source code to your hosting then point your domain to the hosting. Then you all have website running
