How to add about me in sidebar of wordpress

I want to put an about me column on the sidebar of a wordpress blog, along with a photo of mine, how can I do this?

    The easiest way to add something like this is by a Text Widget.

    1. On the widget interface select a text box and drag it to the sidebar.
    2. Go to "Create a New Post" and use the WYSIWYG editor to upload the picture and type out a nice "About Me" message.
    3. Switch to the HTML tab on the editor and copy and paste the HTML code from there and paste it into your TEXT widget you positioned in step 1.
    4. Press Save..
    That's it. You now have an "About Me" section in your side bar perfectly formatted.
