I started this blog earlier this month on blogger platform. All has been working well.

I have other blogs on WordPress CMS though. My friends advised me to move to WordPress now before it's too late.

Please, how do I move all without losing backlinks?

Blog in question is http://www.betahowto.com

If you did changes in URL , then it will effect to your seo work, try to redirect your ranking url to wordpress url.

Don't change the URL structure of the pages where you created backlinks and it's all good.

If you have changed the URL structure, then you need to use 301 redirects which tells Google that the old URL is now the new URL. Here is a link explaining more, https://support.google.com/webmaster...er/93633?hl=en

BTW if you wanting to know more about security on your WP site, I wrote a book you can find it here, https://www.amazon.com/WordPress-Sec.../dp/B073WX2Q1K (It's FREE till 4th August 2017)

Hi, you can setup your new WordPress site on a subdomain of your current site, something like http://wp.betahowto.com.

    1) Setup your new WordPress site.

    2) Next you'll need to configure this in your DNS to point the subdomain to your new WordPress.

    3) Setup WordPress and create the content as needed. Try and keep the same URL structure if you can to save messing with any 301 redirects. If you do change the URL structure you can learn how to setup 301 redirects in WordPress here.

Set your WordPress installation to hidden for now so it wont be indexed while you set everything up.

    4) Once you have everything setup as you need update the DNS of your primary domain to point to your new WordPress server.

Your domain and URL's should all be intact and it should not affect your SEO and backlinks.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Mathew
