Hi everyone,

I needed help to find the best way to market this concept and promote the idea that such products exists out there. I have started a business in selling pre-build, pre-designed websites as a purchasable digital package. It is sold as a product, so the customer would generally buy the it and uploaded onto their server, install it, and their website will be up and running immediately. All they have to do alter their content and upload new images. To distribute it out, I have created an online store for this purpose. My target is primarily for helping startup companies / small business owners who needed to setup a website quickly at a low cost, or freelancers/designers who is looking for a website showcase their portfolio quickly, but generally anyone who is interested to have a website for themselves can get one. Basically, finding what are the ways to 'spread the words', so in the end, to increase sells and revenue.

Any advice is welcome!

How is this different from the many sites the sell or offer free website templates?

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I do know that there's a lot of sites out there that sells website templates - wordpress themes, html templates, etc and some are free (though I would comment that the free ones are generally not so standout). I've been figuring out what makes my products different, and to answer your question:

Generally speaking, I'm not selling a template, I'm offering a fully made website as a software package that allows you to manage your content and make changes without knowing how to code, and technical skills are not needed. Kinda like what wix.com and squarespace.com provides, but I'm not going with the subscription route.

Technically speaking, the website is seen as a software package, already have all the configurations, presets, templates and design, basically just upload to the server and it will run. It's powered by a content management system, so all configurable settings and content can be managed via an Admin UI.

It's really not just a website template but more like a solution.

It seems your niche expanded from a tight, "startup" crew to freelancers to...anybody who wants to start a website. Which is a fairly broad niche

I'd run a blog, position yourself as an authority with free, helpful content, build friendships with other bloggers in your niche and draw clients to you.

Yea, I thought about that too, running a blog and implicitly promoting the product. But do you know if there's other ways to draw potential customer in beside doing blogs?

BTW, I do like the idea of making friends with other bloggers, how would I start that?
