Landing Page Creation

Okay so I dont want to code my own landing page even though I know basic html and css. But, I also don't want to use Wordpress since it's slows you down and stuff. Anyone got a good FREE thing to make landing pages out of? I also dont want something like wix where you can't host it on your own shared, vps or dedi server.

    Okay so I actually like ontrapages and it has great features for just 15$ and speaking of which I just now saw the pricing for wix and it's 12$ for a decent package but 10 gb of space. Do you guys think it's safe to host your lead pages/ landing pages on these places where you dont own the hosting?

    No need to make your landing page at wordpress plateform, You can make it with html and css, and some php code to sync gmail.

    Wordpress gets a bad rep because most people using it don't understand all the bloatware they add on by throwing plugins after plugins.

    I'd say stick with wordpress, use only the most necessary plugins, make sure your theme is optimized - and most importantly, make sure you're caching your website correctly. Caching is generally the most effective and cheapest means of boosting your website's performance. It doesn't matter how slow wordpress is generating your pages as long as you've cached things properly.

    If you're not willing to code the page yourself, or use a paid service - you're only looking at less inferior alternatives to wordpress.

    Have a look at Leadpages.

    I'm a software developer and I prefer using Leadpages instead of building my landing pages manually. In that way I can invest more time on marketing.

    I would recommend Leadpages as well. It's a paid service, but they do have a free trial.

    Take a look at Instapages. They do have a free plan i believe... but even the paid one is worth the money. It's a wordpress-free, hosted solution. You can develop some really neat landing pages using Instapages.
