How to make a .com with Wordpress?

Hi this is my first post but I've been reading this forum for months now and I'm finally starting my first project in full force!

My question is that I don't understand how I can use WordPress Themes and put those on a .com website.

If somebody could give me some information on how I can get a wordpress theme and then post that onto a website for a presell page.

Also, could anyone recommend a cheap/good place to buy a .com? Thanks in advance to any responses. This is the best forum on the internet! I've learned so much.

I guess I'll start by tackling the easiest question first. I highly recommend purchasing domains from Netfirms as they are my domain registrar of choice. Domains are only $7.99 ($6.95 with a coupon) and come with FREE domain privacy. I've successfully registered over 35+ domains with them and have not one complaint.

Now, on to your next questions. My guess is that you also don't have a hosting account at the moment. Am I correct?

I only ask because, in most cases, you can setup Wordpress through Fantastico which is found on a majority of hosts that provide cPanel.

To fully answer all of your questions would leave my fingers sore, but I can point you into a great direction for free information and that is offered by a WF member.

Check out the following link: Domain Names & Hosting | supersimpleblogging.com

Here you can learn how to setup hosting, add domains, install Wordpress, and even configure your Wordpress theme(s).

    I hope that helps.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for all the replies.

What I want to do is make my pre sell page with the wordpress theme's because that seems to be the most popular and easiest way and then put that on a .com website so it's more professional.

I've already started to build it on Dreamweaver but I'm going to look into the WordPress more and see if it's easier for my websites down the road.

I know godaddy makes it pretty easy to set up a wordpress site. If you look under their "Hosting" products there's a link to "WordPress Hosting" from which you can look at their plan levels and see what you would need. I know a lot of people here don't like to use godaddy but I've had minimal problems with them and their customer service is second to none.
