Crowdsourcing web design inspiration

Hey WF,

I'm the maker of UIDB.io - a place to find design inspiration with real, live examples of UI (not just concepts).

For a while now the site has had a 'request UI' section. Anyone could submit a UI request, which I would then manually fulfil and submit to UIDB. It resulting in quite a slow and poor experience for the requester.

Since launching that feature the site has had around 40 requests. Not millions, but enough to prove that its worth building an MVP to make the functionality community-driven.

I've now created a community section, where anyone can ask anything to the UIDB community. I see most things posted likely to be UI requests, but I can't wait to see what people use it for. In future I'm hopeful that people will be posting UI examples for feedback, or asking broader design questions that just UI requests.

You can see it here: https://uidb.io/community

The only post in there right now is mine (as of 14/01/2018). The only comment is... yes you guessed it - mine (to my own question!)

This is the first 'Community' release. You'll notice that the design is far from sexy, and there's probably some missing functionality around the edges.

Either way, I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Can you see yourself using it? If not, why? What could I add that would make it a more valuable tool for you?

Thanks, Joe

I think it's useful. It could help me with ideas, being a graphic designer.
