ProSense Theme modifications

Hi
I am working on modifying my ProSense theme in WordPress, but cannot get the side bars to change background color. I also cannot adjust the height on my RSS feed button in the header. It is higher than I want it to be. Does anyone know how to do either of these in ProSense?
I appreciate any help you can give.
