Wordpress Setup

I have a reseller package with Hostgator.

I want to set up multiple accounts for domains on which I plan to install wordpress. My question is how should I setup the packages for these accounts so that wordpress works properly?

I'm assuming I'm going to need to make at least 1 database available. But how much space in Mb's and bandwidth should I allow??

Thanks,
Travis

  • Hi Travis,

I also have a reseller package but I use it for my sites.

Two of them are for Wordpress Blogs and checking my stats in the WHM, I see that I have only used 30 meg of Disk Space for each one. I also notice that I have used 45 meg of bandwidth. Correct with 1 database each.

If you have the same reseller package as I have, you should be able to get loads of blogs with your allocation.

    Hope this helps,

    Gary

    PS. I ride a Valkyrie.....
  • Is it just for wordpress?

Just allocate 30mb web space and 500mb bandwidth as a start,
and you can upgrade the account to bigger space/bandwidth
    later should you need them.

    • Yes, these are accounts are just going to be for Wordpress only. I want to get them making money and then flip them. Thats why I wanted to create seperate accounts for them.

Thanks for your answers, I will start there.

Very nice Gary. I just bought my Vulcan this year. It's been a great bike to learn on, very light with plenty of power. I'm going to steal my dad's goldwing though when I get my endorsement.
