What should I name this section of my website?

Hello,

I have a funny pictures website and I would like to get your input on the following:
I used to have categories, but it did not work out because people were uploading in the wrong category. So I came up with a new solution ...

I call it "Rooms". These rooms are like subreddits from Reddit. People create a room and they moderate the content that goes there. I want to name it appropriately, but English is my second language. And I don't want it to be named subreddit, of course.

What do you suggest?

    Just to make it clear, I want my users to create these sections so they can upload funny memes to it. It's just like Reddit subreddit, but for memes site.

    Here is what I have come up with:
    1. Rooms.
    2. Communities.
    3. Sections.
    4. Channels.

    I think "Rooms" is pretty good. You could also consider "Galleries", "Boards" or "Walls".

    How about category ? you say people upload to the wrong one, well regardless if you call it a category, a room or anything else, the problem will still exist in that now they will load it to the wrong room.

    If the process is user driven in creating / adding and moving as you say, then any title you give to the category will make no difference.


    A red category or a red room will be the same / red.

      The difference is that now with rooms users get to moderate the pictures uploaded to the room that they created. With categories the admin gets to moderate which is impossible if you get thousands of uploads a day. So I am not only changing the name but also the concept.
