Critique My Website from a Marketer's Point of View

I'm hoping this is allowed -- and if it's not, feel free to move the thread to the appropriate forum.

Recently I launched my largest project yet, Di Franco Media. It's a website focused around my experiences as a content creator for the past 10+ years. Starting on YouTube and making the transition into new categories of content (websites, Patreon, etc.), it's my goal to share information that can help others.

Of course, throughout the process, I'm looking to generate some revenue -- hence the affiliate links and focus on HostPapa (web host), who was nice enough to set up a co-branded page with me.

May I request some honest feedback? My primary drive right now is to get more conversions with HostPapa, while also focusing on publishing original content that can be found useful. I've published four new articles this week. Any tips on how to improve conversions?

Your help is much appreciated. Thank you!

The website in my opinion is:
    1. Dull, bad choice of color scheme, sucks energy
    2. Cluttered home page
    3. The above the fold section on homepage is not even properly visible
    4. Use better and bigger fonts
    5. Remove distractions. Get rid of sidebar on your post pages for better prospect of affiliate conversions

Try looking at blogtyrant [.] com. It looks like a good example (with room for improvements) to me.

There is a BIG disconnect between INTENT ( "It's a website focused around my experiences as a content creator for the past 10+ years." ) and just another link farm page with a bunch of affiliate programs on it.

Focus on the INTENT and stop forcing the desired outcome.. and things will look smoother, be smoother, and your conversions will increase.
