SEO Site Design

I've created a design for a template I'm going to be giving away in a WSO I'm creating.

It's meant for the webmaster/seo/internet marketing niche.

Please any designers, any ideas on what I should add/remove/alter/whatever?

Any input is welcome. Good or bad.

    just FYI, I'm going to be adding this with a set of seo/im keywords and articles. As a sort of niche starter pack.

    I really do need peoples opinions on the design though.. would help me greatly.

    Also, if anyone knows any good, cheap PSD > WP coders, I'd be grateful if you shared.

    Overall, I would say your design is nice... A few little things I would change..

    1) The background is very dark. Some like this, some don't. I prefer to use a bit of a lighter color.
    2) At the bottom, it seems to me the boarder around the links is wrong.... I think it should be the same width as the rest of the page... maintain the flow.
    3) The gradient under the google ads at the top makes the google ads stand out as you can see the difference in the top colors. I would remove the gradient and go with a solid white in that small spot. I would also center it as it seems to unbalance the page a little for me.
    4) Right under the About button, you have an image and some text. The text is a dark color. I would change this to a more contrasting color. The web is a visual medium, but not all people on it have perfect eyesight. Andthing that makes text easier to read is good.

    OK, as a quick review that's it.... Your WP Theme looks nice. Well done.

      Hey thanks for your comments Richard. I do agree with a lot of what you said, but I would also like to give my explanation for a few things; (no, I'm not meaning this is a backlash because you had some constructive criticism to say about my design )

      1). I do agree with that. But what I should have also mentioned was; I'm going to be offering the theme in a variety of colours. Such as Red, white, green, yellow and the current theme colour. But yes, it is a fairly dark theme.

      2). I did it that way to 'add to the dynamic' and stop the template appearing too blocky. Maybe I can make it the same width, but round of the edges or something, dunno yet.

      3). I can definetely do that. I was also considering changin the ad format from the huge 728 x 90 to the 468 x 60. Just to neaten it up.

      4). All my responses so far have started with "I".. anyways, yep, I was going to add a lighter backing under the navigation links.. but wasn't too sure. Also, this image is at roughly 20%, so the colours do tend to blend a little more.

      Both of those boxes are actually going to be dynamic widgets.. so the owner can actually choose what they want and where . I just put it the way it was for illustrative purposes, but thankyou ^^.
