Why is wordpress soo annoying

Is it just me or is wordpress much harder than developing a site from php html and js.
It takes me hours to do something in wordpress that would take me a couple of minutes in php or javascript

      I did the opposite in the early 00's, killing myself to learn HTML templates and CSS, only for wordpress to come along and say, "Here... we made things easier"

      That being said, old habits die hard

    Agreed l developed some WP software for my blog, but unfortunately developing a site page from scratch doesn't seem to be possible anymore, (Hostgator doesn't allow it anymore).

      I just checked, you're right
      You would have to get a VPS or go through a cloud platform and self host from there.
      Easy for technical people, but a huge hurdle for those who aren't.

    Wordpress is an user friendly CMS for me and creating a site will not take more than 4-5 mins.

    It will bother you if you have chooses the wrong theme to built your website. Personally I found this very user friendly and easy of use. But the theme will be always there as a measurement.

    De[ends on what you are doing. Most old school coders find WordPress annoying because they do not know their way around WordPress.

    Wordpress as a CMS gives you much more than what you would be able to do in that span of time. Plus the number of people involved in the project gives wordpress a lead. Further, its very much flexible if you want to expand or extend.

    Personally, i use Joomla also but wordpress is by far more flexible and extendable in the same budget & timeframe.
