New Site Graphics Won't Show.

I recently had this issue, where l made changes to my site, but it would not show on site, or in Google search results.

But my host informs me that it works or shows the colors l wanted in their country, and have checked in other countries with it showing.

So l have to consider that it works worldwide except VIC/AU.

I have checked it on an Android Phone, XP computer, W7Pro laptop, cleared the cache and cookies til l was blue in the face, know that Norton isn't blocking it, (the phone and PC does not have it installed) so am pretty much at whits end.

I will check it tomorrow with the shopping ctr's Wi Fi, but it seems that my ISP has blocked it or l have to wait for Google to Ping my site again for it to clear, (eventhough if l make other changes it shows immediately, but not the color selection bit.

Has anyone here had a similar experience, since l love the template, and don't really want to build my site with half of the colors missing, (at least for me) or ask for a refund, close my account and try again.

I assume you've tried it with different browsers (FF, Chrome etc.)?

Is the template you're using on your system or is it cloud-based? Have you run this by the company who supplied the template?

Ar, yes tried it on FF, IE and Chrome, and an older Virtualization XP OS of FF, but no show.

And l believe that it is cloud based but using my domain.

Tomorrow l will find out if my ISP is to blame, or not by using a public, free one.

I have also found that FF, has a free VPN, plugin, that would certainly solve the problem on my side, and hopefully Google pinging my site will solve it for others in my State or area?

      Thanks for your help.

Sounds like your ISP (not your host) is GEO Blocking. Let us know what you discover please.

Added later. Interesting article sourced in AU..

I tried the VPN add on for Firefox, and did Danmark, and the US, (which is the country of origin for the product) but the colors still don't show.

So l will try a public ISP tomorrow, then ring my ISP, to ask them to unblock it, if the public one still doesn't show anything.

I will have to assume the worst after that.

An update tried the public shopping ctr Wi Fi today and the issue is still there, l also tried the VPN/FF plugin, (US) and the problem is still there, eventhough l checked to make sure the changes to the colors l wanted where still there, (which they were).

So at the moment it seems likely that the company who is hosting my site or the software is crap, (it is in Beta) and they are trying to make out the problem is on my side.

So it is either starting a new account, and if l get the colors locked in before it seizes up again, in the free demo mode, l may stay with that and try to get a refund for the other?

That or spend more on another template that isn't being tested, and has less bugs?

Where are the images being stored?

Have you tried incognito (or similar) mode on our browser?

I've used https://www.browserling.com/ and a couple other services to help resolve issues like this in the past.

What shows where the images are supposed to show? Have you checked the source code through the developer tools that are in various browsers?

You say you are using beta software? Is this a WP theme or something else?

It is not really images more along the lines of changing the template look, by using their color picker.

But l have learned today from someone l know, who lives in Greece, (least l am pretty sure) who is seeing what l wanted, so nothing underhanded going on, just that AU/VIC has a lock on, so l can update the text but cannot see the colors l changed.

So it is either Google having kittens since l changed the colors too much and they may have thought it was something dodgy, or my ISP has something to do with it.

But that also includes a public ISP, which l tried today, so a universal lock seems to be in play.

And no Mark it isn't WP.

If you type in your site's URL in the address bar, then Google is irrelevant. And if you've tried it with a VPN and another ISP, a GEO lock is unlikely (unless AU/VIC has a secret method that stops it).

That leaves either your device itself which is unable to display certain colour combinations, or it's a software issue with the template. If you say you tried in on different devices, my vote goes to a problem with the beta version of the software - maybe only in connection with specific device/browser combinations.

It did work initially then l tried to change one color, and then a few of the colors disappeared and wouldn't come back, eventhough other countries could still see the changes.

I do remember when l built my first site about 10 years ago, where if you ping Google too many times, it may seize up, so Google may have seen a newly listed site having too much activity and freezed that part, so l cannot see the changes in my country?

I will ring my ISP tomorrow to see what they can suggest and possibly go through my details, just in case l forget to put something in, that may have caused this issue?

Google does not block sites in the sense that they make it impossible to see or block the colors or the naked pictures or anything else.

When people talk about Google blocking sites, they are talking about a site being penalized in Google's search engine listings. So, someone may not find your site if they did a Google search but directly typing in the URL outside of Google would show you your site.

Most new sites have a lot of activity. Changing colors, updating files, writing new content, new users, etc. They don't penalize new sites or any sites for activity. And, again even if they did it would be in their search engine only not the entire internet.

Agreed, and l won't be ringing my ISP today since l have already tried another one, with the same issue.

I am pretty confident that Windows 7 is to blame, (as they said) or they are putting more effort into W10, compatibility than 7, and possibly W8.

I also tried several browsers in a Virtual W10 online option, with each showing the colors l wanted, so it purrs like a kitten with 10, but not so much with 7.

I have asked them to refresh the template, but it doesn't work, and have also asked that they remove it and put a new one up, so l can make the color changes before it goes belly up again, but they refuse.

So that leaves me with a third party template, finding their one and installing it myself, or starting again with a demo mode one and if the changes stick, closing the current one down, and asking for a refund.

And pointing the naneserves to the new one.

Which is a pain, but this is a big project, which l am mainly doing since l am ....tired, and need something like this to take my mind off of what is happening in my country.

Tried that tool and it did give me a glimmer of hope, (l actually saw the site as the rest of the world see's it, with W7, and Firefox and Chrome).

This tool also shows it as a Safe Mode format, or very basic, although l have tried it in XP, which has flat graphics, but no change.

And also took a look at it in Safe Mode but no difference or still white color where there should be blue.

    Hey, please try incognito
Or the problem may be in the system you are using. If that's pay, there might be an issue in the beta version of the software

Thanks, but once you get an account with them, it is impossible to create another demo mode.

I also loaded up the W10 browser which works in W7, but no dice.

Pretty much stuck with a crappy looking site, that doesn't look crappy for most other people.

Pretty much forced to buy another one and ditch this one!

Ok an update, finally fixed it!

After considering a expensive third party option, and chatting to the developer, l did another search for other templates, and found a free one, that only adjusts colors, then after a lot of messing about got it to work.

It may not work anymore, but l made all of the changes l wanted, so refreshed til l was blue in the face to be sure.

And also tried to ring my ISP, provider but there store is closed and they are a nightmare to contact.

But it doesn't matter, that nightmare is behind me.

    Thanks guys for your help.

Geesh, Shane - developers, beta templates, color adjustments, hard-to-contact ISPs... you sure like to make things difficult for yourself.

Anyway, glad to hear you got it working.

Well, l thought that it was behind me, today it didn't work, the free color one.

Then updated the Graphics drivers, since it can affect how sites look, still won't show.

At the moment l have ordered a third party, paid color selector, that has a very good rap, and should finally fix this, when l finally download it, (that isn't working either).

Or l am pretty sure that this companie is slack with the colors in w7, and puts more effort into 10.

So if l install a very good color selector, or stable all should be well, but this color there one day gone the next is like a curse!

Ok, loaded the new ....template, which wasn't just colors and changed the site, so l messed about with that removed it, and that seems to have fixed it, or the blocked colors are now showing, regardless of OS, or Browser.

I have also restarted my OS, which didn't work the last time l tried to clear it, but no probs this time around.

So it looks good, and suffice to say l won't go near the colors again, and can look forward to outfitting the rest of the ....site!
