I wanted to improve my WordPress website speed and wanted to get around 100 score on Google page speed insights.
I have read a lot of suggestions and articles. But nothing helped to get a 100 score in Google page speed insights.
When I don't place ads, the score and the speed is good. But when I place ads the score and page speed is not good.
I have tried different servers. At present, I am using dedicated servers. The speed is good but not with the ads.
I have checked howtogeek website page https://www.howtogeek.com/686952/how...-ubuntu-linux/
on pingdom and google page speed insights.
They achieved a 100 score in google page speed and less the one second in pingdom. They run ads and the page size is over 3 MB and the number of requests are over 400.
Can any one tell me how they have achieved that speed and 100 score in google page speed insights.

When using ads or third-party codes, it's not possible to make any changes to those sites. Hence, you have to live with low scores. Even with your example page howtogeek (dot) com, the score is 90+, but not 100. This site is using AMP, which is helping it score better.

If you have added large images, compress them because one of the major reasons behind the slow speed of the website is large images. Also, use browser caching to improve the speed of your website.

I found the solution to the issue. Even if you use ads, It is possible to get 99 or 100 score in Google page speed insights.
The simple concept is to delay ads and javascripts.
WP-Rocket and advanced ads pro gives those options. I am using WP-Rocket. Now I am seeing the better score of what I wanted.

Large sized images are the major issue which can cause low speed of your website. Try compressed image file size. Also using cache plugin can speed up your site.

I would suggest you to focus on content rather than focusing on page speed. Anything 90+ is better for page speed and ranking.
