    Hi Kelvin

I'm a bit confused - are you using WordPress and using NVU to modify a WordPress theme? Or is this a static site you built with NVU?

If it's the former then a WordPress theme isn't something you'd edit with NVU, a theme consists of a umber of separate PHP files that are best edited with a good text editor.

If you have an issue with changing themes it may be a file permissions problem.

If you could clarify your question perhaps I could be of assistance.

      Hi, Bill.

I use the NVU program to create a new wordpress theme. After i completed the theme, i upload it by using the publish function that is include in the NVU program and now i have an issue with changing the theme after i upload theme by using NVU program.

Before i use NVU program, i use Filezilla to upload theme. I can change any theme that i like in my wordpress theme section.

But after i use NVu program upload my theme, i can't change theme that i like from my wordpress section anymore. If i want to change a new theme, i have to go back to the NVU program, use the publish function and upload it.

      thanks for your help.

    Hi Kelvin

Could you not just save the new theme on your hard disk and then use FileZilla to upload it?

I'm still not clear as to how you built a WordPress theme with NVU, as it's just an HTML editor. NVU is actually the older version of Komposer, it's a good WYSIWYG HTML editor but it can't create PHP files.

Did you do a basic layout in NVU and then split it up into individual PHP files (i.e header.php, footer.php, page.php etc)?

Maybe it's my old brain missing something - please enlighten me!

    Thanks

    Bill

BTW, if you are using a recent version of WordPress it has a feature to upload compressed (i.e. ZIP file) themes directly from the Admin console - no FTP or SSH program required!

      Hi, Bill
First i would like to say thanks for you help.
i just try to save the theme in my hard disk and upload by using filezila.
when i go into my wordpress>theme section. It say style sheet missing.
i just work on a basic layout in NVU. I don't have the PHP files inside the theme folder like what you mention. (i don't have any website design knowledge).
i want to take down the theme that i upload by NVU and replace the theme that inside my wordpress>theme section. Is there any setting that i should change when i upload theme by using NVU so that i can change theme?
      Thanks

      Kelvin
