Incorporating immersive and interactive designs, sustainability, and minimalism into web design trends for 2023 will continue to emphasize improving the user experience.

Websites that prioritize these trends will stay ahead of the curve in the upcoming year, whether it is with regard to dark mode, 3D features, bold font, or creative drawings.

That being said, here are six web design trends you should definitely look out for 2023.

Dark mode
Dark mode will stay popular in 2023. It can give a website a certain air of refinement, is easy to the eyes, and is energy-efficient for AMOLED devices.

3D and immersive design
Technology advances are making 3D and immersive design more widely available and more reasonably priced. In order to create a more engaging and interactive user experience, expect to see more websites embracing 3D features, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Minimalism and white space
The trend of minimalism has been around for a while and isn't likely to fade anytime soon. Websites with simple, uncomplicated layouts and lots of white space can exude refinement and peace.

Sustainability
Expect to see more websites embracing sustainable design principles, such as utilizing eco-friendly colors and typefaces, lowering carbon footprints, and encouraging ethical business practices, as environmental concerns continue to rise.

Bold typography
A strong design element that can trigger feelings and establish hierarchy is typography. Websites will increasingly use bold and inventive font to stand out and draw attention in 2023.

Custom illustrations
A website might benefit from the special and individual touch of custom illustrations. More websites will likely use unique drawings in 2023 to establish a company identity and differentiate themselves from the competition.

    Hi!

Super interesting especially concerning the dark mode. I learnt something
It would also be interesting to know for which kind of products/services these web design trends are the most adapted.

I also think that more and more customization websites like "Nike by you" will take space as the years go by. Consumers are increasingly interested in customization and a functionality to show "your" customized product is very attractive.

    Bests,

Drawbacks of Dark Mode: In instances of intense lighting, dark mode may make eyestrain worse. For people with myopia or astigmatism, dark mode might create halation, which makes text harder for them to read. Reading comprehension and concentration may suffer in dark mode.

I have found that the dark mode is suited best to LED/OLED screens due to the power consumption benefits.
