Hi guys.

I'm using WP

need your help, I am working on 5-6 similar sites and rather than rewrite the Page content within each one. is there anyway to copy and paste them between sites?

I don't want to try it and screw up my main site.

I have used this method for when I change themes.

thanks for the help

I f you create the one site first with just the pages you want.... Then go to wp-admin > Tools > Export, then you can export the pages / posts by any author.

Then open your new blog, goto wp-admin > Tools > Import, and import the file, that should do what you need just fine.

I have not used it for a while... As far as I remember it does not overwrite... Maybe do it on a quick test blog first!

will the permalinks fix themselves after the import to the post names or not?

The imported posts permalinks should reflect the set up you have on the blog you are importing too.

Hey Elisabeth, if you just want to copy a theme that's easy.

Go into your FTP and find the WP-Content folder... Inside there there is a Themes folder.

Copy the theme from there to your desktop.

Then open your new site and copy the theme to the themes folder on there.

Then you have to log into wp-admin and activate the moved theme.
