yah...i started building my websites with bluevoda...it's a decent program but as soon as i switched to building my site in expression i saw a big difference in search engine traffic...expression is much more difficult to learn but seems to be much cleaner and the search engines like it better...hope that helps.

You need a real deal web hosting account and a domain name.
Stuff like Voda and all that is a waste of time.
Jump right in and get your feet wet from the start, dont waste your time.

Don't use BlueVoda. I started out there and it really was complete crap. The site builder was good for "newbies" but unless you have some photoshop knowledge you really can't get the professional look you are going for. Plus, you need to use their hosting (Vodahost) in order to publish. Fortunately I know a way around this but thats besides the point lol. Anyways, WYSIWYG Web Builder ($40) uses the same software as Blue Voda with a much more helpful community and a lot more advanced features and extension. Also, I would recommend Kompozer as it's just as easy (and free). If you want more advanced, I would recommened Expression Web from Microsoft or Dreamweaver.

Once you get the hang of it, it's not hard. Also, grab a host gator account before you do anything (just my opinion).

Yes you should of curse as a beginner use a wys..... format website builder, but i would nt recommend bluevoda. I used them many years ago and did not have a grat experiece being honest. Perhaps that has all changed since then though.
