Hello everyone.I dont know if this is the right section to post or not.I had a blogspot blog. Now I am migrating to wordpress.I imported my entire blogspot blog as .xml file and when I tried uploading my .xml file to wordpress, there is no option given. So I selected the "blogger" option under import. But when I selected that and when I tried logging in it is showing "
Could not connect to https(://)google(dot)com

There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:
Connection timed out (110) Thank you for creating with wordpress|Documentation|Feedback
Version 2.9.1"
Can someone help me how to export my blogspot blog to my wordpress blog?
Also I exported the blogspot blog as a .xml file already, now how to import .xml file to wordpress? Thanks in advance.

did you delete your Blogger account?

because you need to still have your account active because you need to essentially authorize WordPress to go into your Blogger account and import the posts. You didn't have to export your Blogger posts to an XML file, after all

    Hey charlyms21
First of all the way you are importing the XML file might create post duplication issue. A successful migration is when your links on blogspot are seamlessly transferred to new wordpres blog and you should not lose any single traffic.
The migration should always be 301 perma-link migration . Though I used to provide this services earlier but I dont have much time for it these days.
You might like to try these guys, coz they have migrated for 2 of my friends
