WordPress MU for Travel Blog - Suggestions Please
So I am finally getting around to setting up my multi-user travel blog and decided on WordPress mu as the platform.
A little bit of a learning curve but not too bad it seems so far.
The area I am finding a bit difficult is testing plugins that work with the newest version of WPmu. There are so many of them that often say may or may not work on wpmu and some that just screw things up.
So to save some time I thought I might ask does anyone know of plugins that work with wpmu on the following subjects? Your help is appreciated.
1: Stats - sitewide and member blog stats
2: Business directory - for listing various diners, hotels, etc.. categorized by location
3:Google Mapping plugin - I need some sort of mapping solution for trip planning. This will be used per members blogs
Any suggestions on other plugins that might work well with this niche?
Anything to look out for? I already see spam is going to be a major problem.
4: Is there a way to set the system so each new blog must be approved?
Is buddypress worth looking at? I have it installed but disabled it for some reason I cannot remember.
