Hi

I would like to give away a branded ebook on one of my sites to start to build a marketing list.

Can someone recommend a plugin that can be integrated into wordpress that will let someone enter a name and email address and send them the pdf?

    I am just setting this up on my blog as we speak! What a funny coincidence...

    You can sign up for a free MailChimp account, up to 500 members on your mailing list and then set the final welcome email to have a download link to your pdf.

    And there's a really cool MailChimp plugin for wordpress that makes it easy to put your signup form on the sidebar as a widget.

      Really? I was testing mailchimp the other week and didnt see the plugin. Will go and have a look now.

    All autoresponders solution will work pretty well with wordpress. It is as
    simple as putting the mailform code in a text widget on a top side bar and
    there you go. A plugin is cool but not necessary.

      Yes Mailpress is pretty good, free and has a lot of plugins too
      (yes a plugin to which you can add plugins).

      What is cool is that it automatically sends to your lists when you
      post new content.

    For the most flexability around puting the opt in form on your wordpress blog i would recommend MaxBlogPress Optin Form Adder It gives you the flexability of having the opt in form in the sidebar, below the post, within a post, on a single page post etc. It also allows you to customize the text that appears above and below the form so you can put your own information and privacy statement.

    You can integrate this with any autoresponder.
