My first Squeeze Page

Hey guys,

Wow, making a squeeze page is harder than I thought - because of the simplicity it's very complex imo..

Could anyone check it out for me, see if they have any positive feedback I can work with?

  • Having your message and your opt-in form above the fold is good.

    Having a simple design like you have here is good as well.

    Your page is too general to work well. Your squeeze page needs to make a specific, limited promise; demonstrate you can deliver on the promise and then ask for the email address.

    In most cases (you can test this) a picture like you have here is actually NOT going to increase conversions.

    • Kevin, thanks a lot for the comments, that's gonna get me somewhere. I'll remove the photo - figured it would work..hehe..

      How can I demonstrate that I'm able to deliver? Do you have an example page that could clear this up a bit for me?

  • Depending on what your promise is you can use testimonials to demonstrate you can deliver. You can also summarize with bullet points some of the sub-points you are about to reveal/your prospect is about to discover. You can describe the emotional change your prospect is about to undergo.

    I changed the text on the page completely, I think it's a lot better now.
  • I didn't get to see the version with the picture so I can't comment on that, but as it's a site targeting men who want to attract beautiful women a picture of an attractive woman would hold the eyeballs on the page - especially if it were near the opt-in box. Maybe even a few small photos interspersed throughout the text.

    As for this line : "Warning: I'd like to teach you FREE tips that most men have never heard of" what exactly am I being "warned " about? I'm drawn to it because of the yellow highlight effect, but then left wondering why.

    I can't say I'm fond of the font in the main text either, it's too small (maybe my old eyes) and not easily readable.

    Anyway that's my take on it, best of luck with it.

      Thanks for the tips!

      The version with the picture was with a, well, beautiful girl in a bikini and it was the highlight of the page (and my week) I think I'll try placing some "polariod photos" of attractive women.

      As for the warning line - I can't really answer that. I've been looking at squeeze pages all day and loads of them had the WARNING thing at the top of the page followed by something awesome instead of something needing a warning. Things like WARNING: I'd like to show you how I made 1.000.000 in a year - that's not a warning, hook me up with that. So are you suggesting I should remove the WARNING or follow up with a different sentence?


      @Ken: Thanks for your feedback. Someone above said I should demonstrate why I'm able to give them this kind of advice, hence the 4-5 sentence story about me followed up with what you said basically, no? A small list of what it is and how to get it?

  • The bikini stuff was probably a bit too much, unless you were specifically targeting the beach crowd! "Polaroid " style pictures of attractive "girl next door" types would probably be more effective.

    The "Warning" did get my attention, but then the actual "warning" left me confused. I see that you've now changed it to actually have a warning, I think that's a step in the right direction.

    The main thing is that you always need to imagine yourself as your target market and put yourself in their position. These are men who don't have a lot of confidence around women and who feel out of place trying to meet them. If they can be convinced that by sending for your free report they will be better off you'll have their form submissions in a few seconds.
