Need help with some basic website setup

Hello,
I have my website set up and hosted with Hostgator and it is working ok..but ugly. I have it set up with the sales page as the index.html etc, which is the first thing that opens when you click on the URL.

I have produced a report that I want to give away in the Warriors Forum. I have the Free Report located in the same place on my hosted site. Problem is how do I link from my WSO message back to the Free Report (I don't want to mess up the website, but just need to link to the free report).

I realise this is probably basic stuff to most people, but just can't seem to get it to work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I'm not sure if I've completely understood your question but I'll have a stab in the dark anyway. I'm going to assume your free report is a PDF file and that it is in the 'same location' as the index.html page of your website. ie it is located in the root of the domain. I'm also going to assume the domain your talking about is the one linked in your sig.

    Therefore, say your report is called freereport.pdf then you can link to it at:

    h t t p : //how2createprofessionaldigitalproducts.com/freereport.pdf

    Changing freereport to whatever the file name actually is and removing the spaces in h t t p : / / (I can't post links yet )
