Hello All,

I am trying to design a header like the one in this website:
traffic ultimatum .com

I know to make the table repeat the background but When I put the main picture in there it does not work. Can someone instruct me on how to do this the right way.

I sliced the picture in photoshop.

    It can only be done using css..

    He's got the following tag set up
    body {
    background-color: #FFF;
    background-image: url(;
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
    margin-left: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;

    Try pasting this just before the </head> tag in your html file, and then preview.

    You should see the same thing as on that website..

    Hope this helps

      Thanks it worked. My only problem now is that my Actual header will not line up at the top flush with the header. How do I fix this in the code.

    we would need to see the code to be able to give exact details,but if you have a table embeded inside a tabe then i might have to do with the fact that the table that contains the header is not aligned at the top of the table that contains the main background.

    also, if you have used the code provided by Bruce, it means the background is on the page, not on a table. therefore, if in Dreamweaver in the page properties you have "top" margin, that would push you content down a little, while the page bg would still stay at the top. check to see, and if you have top margins se just set it to 0 (DW 8 by default has a margin of 5 set up...)

        Oh man, put that in the style sheet and call it from there, Do not put styles in your header, that is just wrong. Inline style and styles in your header are what noobies do to patch a problem.....
