Would you please give me some constructive criticism on my Site/Blog.
It's my first. So, please be genial!? Ok, you can be brutal, if you have to...

    First Impression:

    WHAT DOES YOUR BUSINESS DO?

    Tell your users what exactly you are doing. Basically, explain what your site is about.

    Achieve that by having landing page instead of your blog posts page.

    Couple things:

    URLs are not search engine friendly (All Topics | Turbo-Money.com)

    In your WP change that in settings under permalinks use Custom Structure and i use /%category%/%postname%/

    this will give you
    turbo-money.com/blog/about-us/ or turbo-money.com/blog/post-category/post-title

    Much better that way


    the header graphic looks a bit late 90s but the whole template looks Web 2.0

    Give the top graphic a little bit more balloony look, a more glow-glassy feel
    It's hard to explain but peek at this: Web 2.0 Design Guide - Web Design especially this part: Web 2.0 Design Guide - Web Design

    Turbo-Money.com could be written in different Text colors like

    Turbo-Money.com

    just some ideas.

    the menu on top could be qualified as "mystery meat navigation" a term coined by Vincent Flanders (Web design techniques and principles from Web Pages That Suck - learn good web design by looking at bad web design - - Mystery Meat Navigation) Either put a down arrow graphic indicating that it's a drop down menu re-categorize your header menu.

    ABSOLUTELY LOVE the menu on the left. Nicely done.

    - You need to have your visitors go to a static welcome page to explain what you do
    - Work on a custom header to give the site a more professional look
    - Add your main keyword to your meta title tag...helps explain what you do and helps with SEO
    - I don't like your peel ad...you can't read all the description of the product
    - add a contact me link to the bottom footer...helps with credibility
    - you may want to ad spaces in between your paragraphs for easier readability

    Other than that, I like the theme and I think your off to a great start!

      Good start!
      1) Your header should look nicer.
      2) Your main menu isn't well structured and reacts slowly.
      3) I feel a bit like the others here: I roughly get the idea, but I'd like a more exact statement what your site is about and what role you play. You mention interaction and advices. Do you just mean the blog here or will there be more interaction & help?

        SEO - I know less than skwat!? So Tanx for any tips.
        I have WP All-In-One-SEO plug in with default settings.

        I guess the header needs some work!? i'll give it a go soon.

        META Tags??? you could just as well speak Greek to me!?
        I haven't gotten a grip on structure & function, yet!?
        But, we live & learn!

        The Peel Ad is not Monetized yet. Thats the ad the plug in came with.
        I'm thinking of putting else in there. Just can't decide WHAT??
        Affiliate Program? Resell Right eBook?

        As for interaction and help...
        The purpose of the site is to try and help those that know less that me. And to engage & learn from those who know more than me. like you Guys!

        If any of you would like to maybe help me with pushing traffic that way...
        Let's Talk... I have no list as yet!? So, I don't know what else I could offer??
        Add space, Guest Blogger Spot, ... I don't know?? I'm the Newbie. Make a suggestion!!

          SEO is a system of writing pages (and HTML code) that google, bing! and Yahoo can easily analyze and read your sites.

          using relevant keywords in your text, avoiding HTML errors, and making page relevant to your industry is all part of SEO. There are a lot of great books on SEO.

          Don't think of SEO as a product; it's a vague guidelines. Stands for Search Engine Optimization, as in something you do;
          I have WP All-In-One-SEO plug in with default settings.
          that plugin will have meta tags, title, description fields. For each post and page put relevant information there. Keep description short but related to what the page is about. Good practice for title is:

          Your Category | Your Subject | Your Post

          for example if i sell guide on how to invest in penny stocks, and my post was called "10 Mistakes amateurs make", i would have:

          Penny Stock Investment Guide | Secrets of Penny Stock Investing | Ten Mistakes Amateurs Make

          meta is html slang. It used to be relevant to search engine; now its not as much utilized. But it's nice to keep keywords relevant and to the point. (see above)

          Also you have meta tag for description
          meta tag for keywords
          and meta tag for author.
          All should be in that plugin.

          leave it blank for now. I think it's best to not rush advertising and cracking money from yoru visitors until you get solid traffic to your site. I am keeping my site ad free for now.

          Search this forum for building a list.

          Utilize social networks to syndicate your blog. someone recommended using onlywire.com (you need to setup accounts in each category) but OnlyWire will push your blog update to all social media networks. You can see how it works on their website.

          I am keeping mine simple and was suggested by many advanced Internet Marketers that putting too much stuff right away can scare visitors.

          you have to read a lot.

          Start with learning BASIC HTML and CSS this will help you in editing your site.

          Next learn basic fundamentals of SEO. All this can be found free. Don't buy ANYTHING YET. Also Warrior Forum gives us Special Offers for just us on SEO and other useful book. Check there first.

          I know a good deal of SEO practice but I am not perfect. A lot of SEO takes either investment of time or money or both. You can pay someone to do most of your work or you can do it yourself. Time consuming but free. Mostly.
