I am curious as to if any of you know the answer to this?

If I scramble my webpage code, meaning the html code with a code scrambler so that people cannot read the code. Can google still find the keywords and such?

Search engines will probably not be able to index your scrambled pages.

Why would you want to do this?

    Hi,

Look at any web page. Hit ctrl-U to look at the code. This is what the search engine spiders see. If it is scrambled then you are not going to get anywhere.

If you really want to scramble a site. Put your scrambled code in a page and then use a frame for the actual page that has some keywords and a description in it.

Although to be honest I dont recommend just relying on keywords and description meta tags anymore.

    Cheers

I wouldn't bother trying to protect your code,

      Is there a particular reason?
