Hi poorman. I like most of it. The world issues/poverty photos on the right are a little overwhelming/distracting. It feels a little like a World Vision guilt trip infomercial. I'm not against the concept, just that you may get better participation from accidental drop-ins if it were a little less guilt-trip feeling. I'd probably browse the forum casually to see what's going on...

You will be most impactful by reaching more people, so you need to be careful not to "scare them away". Pick a handful of photos to show (maybe rotate them over time), but don't cover the page with photos.

Just a small suggestion, I would use the header area to explain in a few words what your forum offer so people can instantly see this.

I'm not sure about the rest but it looks pretty good to me. However, just a personal preference, i would prefer a forum with a slightly smaller width, I don't exactly like how the whole forum stretches across the whole screen, it does make reading a little tough

Oh and like Lloyd Buchinski said in his post, you should consider getting moderators especially when you have rather controversial topics like religions and moral stuffs, you might want to keep things in check.

Sorry, From my point of view the color combination is not as good as it should be. Off course this should be simple but with matching color in header, bars and background.

You can see the header is of blue color where as the bars are in green. You can see the warrior forum design. The main colors are red and gray which is used all over the template.

You should use some attractive colors for the design.

The forum is all nice with earthy colors. The image part is not that convincing. You could have some nice pictures of large dimensions. I guess you are apprised of the fact that images attract more attention than texts, and also have long lasting impression on your mind. Other wise all-n-all I like your site. It is simple,clean and nice.

I would like to question you on one thing, what is the purpose of 'New' tab on navigation bar. There is no content regarding anything new in community,society or world.

I mean banner image. It has low quality. Also logo is very good but its colour look like amateurish. So your site is very good but just need some photoshop working.

You could actually go to ColorSchemer | Instant Color Schemes and use there system, they have color scheme suggestions that really look good, there are other sites out there that are similar also.

Colors are VERY important and really can make a difference on your viewers.

I just went to your site. There are many posts and subjects to post about. The only thing I would say to check on are the photos. You need to use photos that are attributed (given credit to) because otherwise somebody might say that they belong to somebody else and then it would be a problem.

For instance, a photo used on an incest posting might mean that this family is incestuous. Whoever is in the photo I saw might not want their photo to be on that subject area. Just a word to the wise. If you do not own the photo and the people in it have not OK'd it to be on a post about a subject like that, then they might not be happy if they find it there.

On "rated R" photos you should probably make another link and say that the photo is explicit (such as on a dead person photo).

Changing these things would make your site more popular and also it would be safer for you because nobody would need to have you take photos off of it.

I do like it that people are talking about important subjects there though. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm new here and i liked this forum. The colors and theme is good. I'm glad to see number of people contributing here.

In my opinion, the banner header is too short, you could make it larger by adding extra height like 10 - 15 px. I like its blue color but it would be better if you can make a color gradient between the two blue color on the picture and the background banner, so it will have a nice blending effect. You should also reduce the height for the top navigation menu like 5px as I think it's too tall.

The colors and layout work well together. May want to check your font size to keep the page from getting to crowded.

I think is perfect, don't over charge it with slide shows and animations, as it gets populated it will also become slow so keep it simple.

I totally disagree with Lynnie as I love the way it looks. It's a clean, modern design; doesn't rely on lots of hokey images, and has nicely structured categories.

I guess if I were super-fussy I would have to ask what the connection was between global issues and the unicorn that forms the logo in the top, left-hand corner; 'cause I really don't get it...

I think your forum design is visually attractive; but, judging by a brief scan through some of the discussions, there are way too many idiots among your membership. Perhaps you should consider requiring prospective members to pass IQ and literacy tests before allowing them to post?

Hello again poorman. Yep, it's looking a lot more cohesive now that you've added in illustrative images on the left by each section.

Previous commenters are right - a line explaining what the purpose of the site is, is definitely necessary. Why's it called 'Cozay' by the way? It seems to have no bearing on the site content at all...

And I know that you're already working on this, but that unrelated unicorn logo still drives me crazy!

Try kuler.adobe.com with the colors you like. It'll let you choose a base color and then show you standard color schemes like triad, monochromatic, complementary etc.

I like the Color combination, it's always great to use bright colors in forums, Psychology says that bright colors especially greens stimulate the creative side of the mind which is great for brain storm and discussion

You have an interesting, nicely controversial working forum and a good template. The only thing I'd suggest is to put post dates up where they can be seen.

I keep going over there to look at it and wanting to post things.

Now start looking at backend stuff you can offer to get more members.

It looks good poorman, try adding more colors to the body though, it does look a bit bland. And try adding more categories, or just put some of the sub-forums on the main page.

This has nothing to do with the design, but I'm curious. Why don't you allow signatures in the forum? Spam I guess?

At least I went through about 8 threads and didn't see a sig anywhere. I did join and made a couple of posts. Would be more enthusiastic about posting again if I could at least get a link back.

I like the look of your forum and think it has a real clean look to it. Navigation looks good and is easy to use. The text is easy to read and has good contrast to the background color. I wouldn't beat yourself up over it as I would consider it complete.

I really haven't look around more to check for the titles and topics. So far I pretty like it! the color is ok your topics are well categorized and the design is simple.

Also, if you want to make it fit the entire browser window, resolution wide screen becomes unreadable. I recommend a maximum width so that lines of text very large, which are a pain to read.
