WEB DESIGN

Hello warriors,
As i am dentist by profession, I had started a dental care forum with phpBB script to serve my profession alongwith my passion for webmastering.

I wanted your opinions for the same, atm i have kept it redirected to forum only, but have plans of keeping main page as Seperate site with different options as blog and forum.
Atm need advice about forum only...
What are positive and negative points there?
[I have logo and banner almost ready, which will be delivered to me within short time.]

[As i am not a profesisonal webmaster or programmer, and my field is completely different, its medical line, so please consider this and be polite if you find any big n00bish mistake.]
Constructive criticism will help me in improving it.

It's a good start! You should make the header(logo) blend with the rest of the design.

Yes, as i said, i had ordered the logo and its about to come in short time.
i will be editing that logo laters.
the new logo or banner is based on the same color theme.

get rid of that annoying adsense banner on the left. the site seems a little noobish if you have unrelevant ads on your site.

It's not a bad start at all considering this is not what you do for a living.

The one thing that stands out to me is the use of colors, try to be a little bit more subtle with the blues. The colors you used are a little too strong and don't look very professional. Always pick one main color and use that color when you're picking the rest of colors for fonts, backgrounds, etc.

the structure of the site is good. But a good logo and Nice header will add very much in the site. Also the combination of colors is not good. Both the colors are different shades of blue and not going with each other. Yellow and red shades must have been used.
