Only took a quick look & didn't get into the content...but from a design standpoint I'd just like to say the font used for headlines/navigation is difficult to read. I understand the design concept you're going for, but the futuristic font kind of repels the eyes vs draw you in...think you're on your way tho & remember, this is just one opinion. Good luck!

Thanks man I'm looking for any help I can get. Any suggestions or more "eye-catching" font? Should I stick to the basics? IE Arial etc?

This is my first foray into a web design, so any advice is awesome.

  • Hi there...

If this site is something you are seriously considering making a business out of then read on. If on the other hand, this is just a hobby, then you may not get much out of this response.

I don't want to be the one to sound negative but I want to save you a lot of time and trouble by being honest.

People who buy supplements online are buying something that they put into their body.

As a consumer, if I'm buying something to take as a supplement I have to have a lot of trust in the purchase source. If I don't see a website that looks very professional, clean and trustworthy, I wouldn't buy anything from it. Especially not a product I have to put into my body.

Try to put yourself in the minds of your customers. If this website is truly something you want to make a business out of, I really wouldn't waste your time trying to create this yourself. All that will happen is you will initially spend months tweaking the site, only to find that you aren't getting the results you want. This is pretty normal for people to try to create their own websites.

Try to think about where your skills lie and focus your time and to that part of your business. If you're not a web designer get some help, and focus on promoting your website. This is the only way to be successful in this business.

It took me years to figure this simple concept out. When I first started designing websites I found I wasn't a great copywriter, so I outsourced this to someone who is a professional, and spend my time concentrating on his designing websites. I used to try to do everything myself but understood that it isn't possible to be good at everything and excel at everything.

    Best of luck

Based on what you are saying I th ink you are trying to tell me that my overall design doesn't look "trustworthy." What can I do to make the site look more legit?

  • Hey,

Had a look at your site and i do like the layout.I do agree with 'jimstoddard', i personally think you should keep the font simple as you suggested. Noticed you've began using affiliates with your supplements. The site is looking good, the more supplements you add to your site the better. This is only my opinion :-).

    Good Luck.
