Skype Code - Make it STOP!!!!

Why do my phone numbers always convert into some kind of Skype code whenever I edit text on my sites? It looks like this:

begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 619-283-7378 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 619-283-7378 end_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

It's killing me and I can't get it to stop. Anyone have the same problem and know what to do? Is it just me? How do I make this nonsense stop? Can't take it anymore...for the love of god!

    If i understood your problem correctly, you can disable this on the skype browser plugin.

    • Is this something that you see in your Source Code?

      Is it happening when you're using a different browser? If not, it is most likely a skype plugin that you've installed on your browser a while ago. Uninstall or disable it.

      If it happens in all your browser than it could be a plugin that you've installed on your website's Content Management System (CMS). I've never used a Skype plugin on any of my CMS sites but I'm sure there is one and if that's the case, you want to walk through your list of installed plugins in your CMS back-end and disable the Skype one if you see it.
