I need help editing a header image

I found a theme for my writing site (not totally sure I like the theme, but...).

Anyway, there's an element on the header that I want to remove. As I'm far from a Photoshop expert, I'm hoping someone can clue me in. I'm using Photoshop Elements, but I've found that most stuff translates between the two programs.

So, here's the site:

Words Matter

I want to get rid of "navigation" and the arrow after it. I tried using the Paint Bucket tool, but that didn't really do it.

Oh, and, if possible, I'd also like to fill in the part of the blue line that will be missing after I delete "navigation."

I'm assuming it shouldn't be too difficult, but it's still beyond my skill level.

Thanks for any help!!

EDIT: Forgot one thing - I'd also like to make the title clickable, so it takes readers back to the home page.

    Hi,

    I have some time left

i will send you the new image.
getting the title clickable can be done within your WYSIWYG.
Just make a hotspot on the image and you are done.

Give me a few minutes and it is done

Substitute "damn" every time you're inclined to write "very"; your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be. ~Mark Twain
