The best way to make images from a screenshot

  • if you use paint try to save the image as bmp and then convert it to jpg using some other program. I don't have paint but I think that would work
  • Try what you're doing again but this time save it out at 300 dots per inch instead of 72 dots per inch. This may solve the jaggies, however, depending on the size of the over all image may slow the web page loading time slightly.

    • I used Zapgrab and then via paint saved the image as a .png - all good

    Hi, I am creating an online Hebrew reading course. As most computers would not be able to read Hebrew letters without having to install a language pack (not desirable or feasible) I need to screenshot all the letters and words that I will be using, which are quite a few. I experimented with taking a screenshot of the Hebrew text generator and then pasting the screenshot it into Paint, then grabbing the letter or letters and pasting it into a new Paint session and then saving that as a .jpg. The problem is that the final image does not look sharp and in fact it looks pretty shabby.
