Reseller Site Using Wordpress? Is it Possible?

Your suggestions needed guys please. I have got a reseller hosting plan with hostgator and i want to create a reseller website to resell hosting and domain name. I gave someone the job to build me a site but he is wasting my time.
Is it possible to build a hosting site with wordpress? Has anyone tried it? what result did you guys get? Will i be able to do the normal things like integarating it with domain registration API for real time domain registrations?
I need all the help i can get. I have got a tight budget of $150 to design this. is it possible with wordpress? any recommendations? your ideas and suugestions are welcomed. thanks
