Wordpress custom category navigation

Hi
I have a wordpress blog and I would like to customise the sidebar category links
I have a large number of categories
I would like to create two lists of links to the categories
put half of the categories in left sidebar
other half in right sidebar
any simple way of doing this?

  • hey, I had a similar problem, only I didn't want all the catagories to show up, so I used 3 widgets, each displaying one category of links. One for the first group named as I wanted, one for the second group, named as I wanted, and finally, the third group, named as I wanted.

    just one suggestion...

      how do you edit the category widget to not show all categories
      I only have 3 options-
      Show as dropdown
      Show post counts
      Show hierarchy

  • To be able to create two lists of links to the categories
    put half of the categories in left sidebar
    other half in right sidebar you need to change your column in your wordpress theme setting, In there you can customize, or choose what design you want to your site.
