Looking for some thoughts

Dunno if this is the right place to post, but I just finished my first among many video tutorials coming to my web development / internet marketing site and need some thoughts as to what everybody thinks. I need criticism on improvements and stuff.

I know my voice is a little weird, but it's 1AM and my throat is a little dry, but tell me what you think and what I should improve on =D

This video is supposed to be a side tutorial in case nobody wants to read the written tutorial which is located on http://www.waloosh.com/tutorials/pho.../anime-blur-6/

Which do you think is better? Written or video?

The video is better seen in full screen, or.. at least a larger resolution, lol. I hate YouTube sometimes.

    Nice video

Personally I always believe that video makes a far better tutorial than written, however I like to offer both since often people will watch the video first, and then just refer to a section of the written tutorial to refresh their memory for a specific step.

The voice over was good, but it was obvious at first that you were a little nervous since you were speaking very quickly without pausing for breath. That is the same thing that happens to everyone

The easiest way to fix that is to have a mini dry-run first by creating a quick 'throw away' sample before you being recording the main video.

Although I am also guilty of creating tutorial videos in the middle of the night - I can tell you from experience that you are much better off waiting until you are well rested before recording.

Overall extremely promising and I look forward to seeing where you go from here

Nice tutorial. It will be helpful in drawing people to your site. Encourage this by putting the URL in the video, either as an overlay or a slide. At the end, announce that you have a written tutorial on your site with more details, etc... You don't want to depend on your YouTube profile to promote your site. What if it goes viral and other people start embedding it on their pages?

You have a nice speaking voice. Maximize the impact by speaking slower and with confidence. I agree with Jamie that you should do one or more practice runs before you publish.

Finally, I think you should consider embedding the video on your tutorial page instead of providing a link. Why work hard getting people to your site to send them somewhere else?

I wish you the best. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the encouragement guys =D Makes me feel less childish for doing this, lol.

Also, I was going to redo the watermark I have on it now, with the URL, but I was in a hurry and uploaded my sites logo instead. Just me being lazy, lol.

Thanks again for the help and encouragement!

And neither of you joined my site? hehe

the effect is oki & the tut, but i will never believe any filter will make a Luis Royo image better than he did it himself

It's great, and I don't hear anything wrong with your "voice". Also, the site is awesome. It's a forum... I love it.
