In discussing one of our upcoming website's design, I was at a loss to convey the concept of the current trend in graphic design such as twitter, or the iphone.

I called it "bauhaus inspired" with "simple geometric shapes and large areas of single colors or monochromatic fades with rounded corners."

How would YOU define / describe this current trend in graphic design?

Not sure there is a name for it yet. Its like the next version of web 2.0. Inspired by the simple clean user interface of the early Ruby on Rails apps.

You can go with "modern look with good use of white space. designed to enhance user experience"

    Cheers

Do you have any examples of the "early ruby on rails apps" that use this style?

I'd love to be able to point at them as examples.
