Please help with Wordpress meta tags

I have a static wordpress site and I simply want each page to have a title, keywords, and meta description that I give it. I have tried the plugins Page Meta, ZD Header Tags, All In One SEO, and several others. None work. Some change the title, but none show the keywords or description meta tags.

Obviously, something is wrong, but I do not know what is wrong or where to start. Any ideas or help?

I need help with this one as well. All in One SEO doesn't cover this.

I use All in One SEO and they do let you change the description and keywords, you setup the keywords to be built according to post categories and/or tags.

You're right they cannot be edited directly, though, the plugin builds them automatically according to your post, which I kinda prefer.
