HELP-EDITING SIMPLE MACHINES TEMPLATE FILES...

I have a simple machines forum attached to a domain.

I want to add my google analytics code to it, but I have to manually put it into the template.index.php file or whatever it is.

Anyways, when I go into MODIFY THEMES within my control panel, all that's there are two existing themes, and not the DEFAULT theme which I'm currently using.

So basically I have no idea how to get to my files to edit and add my analytics code.

My SMF is version 1.1.11 I tried installing the google analytics mod but it's not compatible with my version.

Any ideas? How do I find and edit these files?

I would find the correct file on your hosting account, then download it, then add the code and upload it back to your hosting account.

Thanks that's what I was thinking too but I was trying to avoid that.

However I found an easy solution just now, for anyone who might be interested in the answer.

I installed the GLOBAL HEADER AND FOOTERS mod, it ads a header to every page of the forum. Put your analytics code in the global header, and you're good to go.
