Years ago i knew of a site where you could enter the html of a banner and have it resized with the push of a button, and now that i need it i have no idea where to find this site. Does anyone know of a way to resize banners for adding to a site?

Thanks in advance

  • You can do this with a number of different image editors.

If you have MS Office the Microsoft Office Photo Manager will do the job, its very easy to use. There are also a number of Open Source and commercial editors.

You may also have some software already on your computer that you can use to resize images, if you have a digital camera it probably came with a program that you could use to do this.

  • If you resize a banner to a size that is not equal in dimensions, you will stretch it. Meaning if you have a banner that is 100 x 200 you can only resize to 50 x 100 or 200 x 400 ect... Hope you understand, else you will need to redo the whole banner because the graphics will be stretched and skewed.
  • Those type editors still exist today........... try HERE for example, have even used it myself from time to time when clientele request resizing and I am in transit!

    • Very Nice thanks, not that I will need it since I use photoshop, but that seems to be one of the nicest online graphics editors I have seen so far.

  • it's better you use a photoshop for good quality converted image result. it's very easy to resize using this program.
  • I'm a Fireworks guy myself, even though I have Photoshop also. But yeah, they are great quality wise for resizing, among many other things.

That pixlr.com/editor looks pretty handy. Thanks for the link.

    • Hey a simple one I have been using for years is VSO Image resizer. It installs on your 'right click menu' so if you have the image on the desktop and you right click on it you can select the program and work away.

One down side is that you do not see the result as you are doing it. But you can type in your measurements and hey presto it will create a new image the size you want.
  • You can always use photoshop to resize your photo.
