Blog Squeeze Page

Hi all,

Just working on a project at the moment whereby it would be highly desirable to have a squeeze page mandatory in front of a customers blog. As I'm creating content on the blog at the moment I can see what will happen is in time people will begin landing on any given page within the blog.

What I usually do is to install wordpress into a blog subdirectory and then point a domain redirect to a squeeze page - and then drive traffic to the root domain but this does not stop google finding other pages in the blog.

I don't want to make the whole blog nofollow but would be desirable to make it always front ended with the squeeze page.

Is there anyway to achieve this? Or do I need to have a popover on the blog as well as a squeeze page?

Ideas anyone? Is what I'm wanting to do achievable?
Basically want I need to achieve is to register all visitors and grab names and email addresses of all prospects - it's a JV thing.

Cheers for now.

Darren

  • Idk if this is what your asking but maybe...

Just make a new page in wordpress and add your opt-in script and info.

In wordpress under your general settings just change the Site address (URL) to www.yoursite.com/newpage

Sorry if thats not what your looking for..I was confused with the question
  • I think you can make a stand alone blog, and than ask everybody visting byour blog (with the help of a pop-up gateway) to download your free giveaway by visiting your new page (where your optin is located.)

I get exactly what your saying, this is very simple to implement. Instead of me trying to explain it though, head over to my blog here and read the page right to the bottom.
