Displaying image in an ad

Hello,
I am new.I've been struggling to get an ad entered in my blog, I won't tell you how long....

Anyway I eventually am using a word press text widget to post the ad. But the image is not showing.

I got a graphic and an affiliate code from the company and resized the graphic in photobucket. uploaded it to public_html and then images.html I created the short link in Komposer. within a 1x1 table and just copied and posted the whole shebang into the text box.

The words show with the extra line when I tried to center it in Komposer but the graphic does not show, even though the graphic link is clearly there. If anyone could help I would appreciate any assistance. The site is dnextra.com

  • BTW if the code looks ok then it means I did something wrong in Komposer. I just would like to know which line to attack. Thanks.

    • Hi Michele, I'm new too (to WarriorForum, anyway) - and I hope I can help you with this!

      Have you tried deleting / reuploading the image?

      It seems to me that your code is fine, looks like the image itself that's borked.

      If your image is in public_html, you should be able to navigate to dnextra.com/nichefilesadcopy.jpeg and see the image - the important thing here is that it shows the busted image icon and not a 404 page, so your image IS there... but it's got errors.

      Resizing via photobucket might have been your downfall. If you like, you may email me the image and I will resize it for you in Photoshop!

    • Thanks, This is the first time I have tried to do anything other than post in word press. I spent the last few days trying to change the ads. Finally found that you go into fiono options to find the ads, well kind of find them. Each time I go into the wp-admin area it is another treasure find for me. I did get to delete the existing ads and have gotten that one ad to appear in the correct place.

      So yes I suppose in some other sites i will just go to the editor and find all the right little text boxes. Some day this will all be a dim and boring memory.
