Static HTML to Web 2.0

Guys,

I have a site I built in 2003 for my offline business. The site is at AccuBlinds . com. (sorry no link due to low post count). It has 50 or so static HTML pages, many with top 10 google placement for my region.

I want to dominate the listings. I have experience using WP and basic SEO strategies et al, but what I am looking for is advice on how to rearchitect the site in order to maximize SEO, without losing my static pages that are currently doing pretty well.

Any advice on the easiest way to go about this without the risk of losing pages that are currently serving me well?

Thanks!

You can convert your actual site using a web 2.0 platform has wordpress, using techniques that will keep your well listed URLs intact. Then, with this platform, you can further optimize your SEO, using powerful SEO and Social Media integration plugins available for wordpress. There are also several web 2.0 strategies that can be applied with these tools.

I would NOT agree 100% with this statement, as web 2.0 being a concept, I agree, there's also platforms ("kind of sites" sort of) to accomplish this (like wordpress and joomla), as the web 2.0 concept must include the use of interaction with the end users and be a dynamic platform, and must use integration with social media at its largest extend.

WP would do the job, the URL rewrite feature will ease your migration from static pages, redirecting would be easy as well just in case you need it. plus tons of great plugins for you to boost SEO

Thanks for the input guys. I understand the concept of redirects, but was concerned about losing some search engine cred with redirects. I think I will move the site to WP and redo all the pages, but leave the old HTML pages intact and update all the links within the static pages to point to the new pages once published. That way I still have the old links available and start driving traffic to the new ones.

I have seen incredible results with even offline businesses using WP sites (with a theme that does not look like a blog) so want to take my business to another level. I am currently ranking top 2 organically for all my top keywords and want to build some deeper links and do some SEO to give is some staying power.

      Thanks again.
