Process To Get A 135MB .AVI Video On A Web Page?

Hi!

I have a large AVI video (135MB) which I'd like to have on a website. What's the best way to do this please? Like what 'player' should I use and what/how to convert to FLV or whatever format is appropriate?

Thanks. I know this must have been asked before but I haven't bumped into any specific threads that solve this issue.

    You should convert your avi video to flv format using a tool like:

    Free AVI to FLV- Easily Convert AVI to FLV files

    next I would use flowplayer to display your video on your website:

    http://flowplayer.org/

    and I would recommend that you use Amazon S3 to host your video file:

    Create yourself a youtube account, upload the video to youtube, and then use the embed code to post the video to your site.

    If you do not want to use youtube, then pick from one of the other video hosting sites - break, vimeo, veoh, metacafe, damilymotion,,,,, only to name a few.

      Thanks guys. One question about embedded YouTube vids: I embedded a YouTube vid previously and when the vid finished it showed other related vids just as it does on YouTube.com (which sucked).

      Yesterday I noticed a site that seemed to have an embedded YouTube vid but when the vid finished, nothing else was shown. Do you know how to make that happen? (it may have just been a YouTube style skin though).

    Using YouTube is a good idea from an SEO perspective - it'll help your ranking. Add your video to your Google Maps/Places listing also.
