Go to godaddy.com and Upon Checkout, put FALL99 on the coupon field. You will be able to buy 1 domain for $0.99 for 1 year only.

        * I use NameCheap for all my domains:

        - very good and fast service
        - Cheap. While there are cheaper, they usually don't offer all the same features.

        * I definitely don't recommend renting webspace that comes with a free domain name included. Often the webspace provider is just using it as a dirty trick to get you to buy from them. Then when you want to leave for a different hosting, they give you a hard time (and extra costs) to take your domain name with you to another registrar.
It is best to rent your domain names in a separate registrar where you have access, no matter if you drop your webspace account.

        Sincerely, Valleyken

    Hi,

Just a couple of points to consider before buying cheap domains.

Check their renewal fees before you purchase.

For example: The initial purchase price may be really cheap but it is only for a year and then when you come to renew the price has doubled or the renewal fee plus the initial fee actually adds up to more than what you would have paid elsewhere for 2 years.

Also, do you have to pay hefty charges to change the tag or nameservers? How easy is it to transfer away? Some will make it excrutiatingly difficult and pricey.

I'll chime in for a second vote for namecheap... Godaddy is too scummy in their billing practices and namecheap is very straightforward with competetive enough pricing and discounted pricing if you have over 50 domains with them.
